Chueh-Lin Tsai

The age of thirty years is scary because many people in my culture consider it as “the last call to get married.”  So those who are thirty years old but not even seeing someone (like me) are under a big pressure.  However, I am still questioning the meaning and necessity of marriage.  I think I am not going to get married, for now, because I still do not want to break up with myself, but floating in this pool of “to marry or not to marry” becomes a strong motivation for me to do this work.  I like to transform my fear into the subject of my work, because by the time I finish the work, my fear is buried in it and then I can move on.
